Have you committed career suicide?

February 21st, 2009

It’s be stating the obvious if we told you that with the advent of the internet these days, more and more companies are looking to the world wide web when looking for prospective employees. There are dozens of job search sites that job seekers and employers go to to look for job and look for for people to hire.

The less obvious is that there are employers who aren’t just satisfied with the information indicated in a job website. Some do considerable research and go as far as to research the person (like Google-ing his or her name, for example) on the net.

The worst thing that can happen to you is for an employer to find out some extremely unprofessional article or blog post you did about your previous job(s). So it’s always best to not burn bridges, and keep your digital slate clean.

The Mystery of Mystery Shopping

January 8th, 2009

mystery4The job is one of the least known freelance jobs in the world and it entails you being the employee of a company or a company hired by a group of companies to do market research for their businesses and franchises. The job is by no means easy but establish a name and you can get paid big bucks for what else, shopping. The job calls for you, posing as a customer to go in and either purchase or try out products taking particular attention to service, and over all shop appearance. Not available everywhere, the job more or less employs people with a certain persona, one who can do a job in a grocery then in a up-style boutique all in the same day.

Job Market Blues

December 28th, 2008

BluCollarJobs are being shed from some of the biggest names in the industry by the thousands and not much hiring is going on. Imagine thousands applying for a single job opening, now that’s hard. Thankfully, job search sites are getting better and better allowing more people to get jobs they are qualified for. Some social sites even match not only the jobs themselves but the social inclinations of the people and offices making for better jobs and happier employees.
Certain industries require a different approach to their business such as in the fashion world where you have to be more or less in the know to succeed. IT is another growing field and is expected to grow as more and more industries turn to online marketing and operations saving on manpower costs. Blue collar jobs never wane for they are the foundations of the developed world. Without them, the very structure of the internet would not be possible for there is constant maintenance to be done to keep us on the net.

There are ways to prevent identity theft whether online or offline. For one, you should never rely on Fraud alerts or sudden Credit Freezes. There are surely so many other ways to make the most out of a person’s identity than just by using it for money. These thieves can easily trade your SPI with unscrupulous people or entities which they will use to evade tax debts and for so many other ways they can exploit the stolen SPI. One way of preventing theft also is to have a habit of prudent posting. You should be wise in what you post for public access. These days, online social networking is the easiest way to communicate with your friends and relatives. Be sure to post what is just necessary and be wary of giving out important information in public.

Job Hunting can be Discouraging

October 6th, 2008

It is very hard to search for a job to anyone who has been unemployed for quite a long time. Going through the whole process of job searching is one of the most de-moralising task to undertake for some people. Some people scour the whole job pages of a job search website for hours on end but finds no suitable opportunity for them. Others have come from good universities and finished a good degree and find themselves in a trance. Because it is a fact that many job seekers and employees alike are not really sure of what they really want to end up doing in the long term. While some are clear cut with waht they want to be when they grow up. Those are fortunate people. It is stressful to not know where your job would really lead you, worst, if you’ll ever get to see that job. Clouds can hang over your head when you are depressed. Whats depressing others more, is the fact that even their family are also searching a potential job for them. The hard part is that sometimes, the family just throw anything or any job that they see on the sites or papers on you. Although, it just means that they are concerned of you and really means well.

With the internet, online survey has become an option for companies to get rapid response. Online surveys are perfect for students, stay at home moms and anybody else to make extra money. Marketing companies are spending much money to survey companies, to get feed backs directly from customers. This is done to further improve the product or simply know the position in the market. Survey companies come out with different incentives and cash payments for those who invest a small amount of time to fill out these forms. In doing so, it is best that you keep a separate email account for this sideline. Important point to consider is to plan your schedule and set priorities. Finally, to keep the clients steady, you should remember to follow through once you join these programs.

We eventually became part of his company as freelance writer who writes in more than 500 sites he have. I’m very happy that I learn this type of work where in I can earn money and at the same time I can share my opinion & point of view towards the audience. My friends also have fun of it since they can express feelings and enhance their writing & research skill towards a subject with the money we earn and enjoyment we experience I can recommend this type of work to you because you can do these during you spare time especially moms who are just at home. You already earn, you will also have fun sharing your opinion & point of view and you will also enhance your writing research skill with this type of work.

Monster facts.

Monster, yet another job aggregate available on the internet said that their index on employment rose from 165 points in February to 167 in March.

This seems to be good news to job seekers out there…Not! There is actually one more fact that I didn’t mention: the employment index LAST year. If we are to compare the indices (last year and this year), last year’s index was about 185. That’s a big drop since we’re not even in the middle of the year.

Some experts say that the fiscal crisis and other economic boo-boos contributed to the plummet of employment.
